news and information
On two events at the same time we presented our new Tether Ground Station microTether together with an on-board module for the Mavic 2 series (Pro, Zoom, Enterprise, Enterprise Advanced).
As part of a development consortium, we at ValoFly are currently working on a fully integrated, vehicle-bound tether system for multicopters. An early prototype could be seen at this year's AFCEA in Bonn. Our challenge: to ensure the supply of energy and data between the UAV and the vehicle in all weathers, even when the vehicle is in motion.
Our products and innovations can still be found at three exhibitions this year: Intergeo 2021, 34th AFCEA trade exhibition and the FLORIAN trade fair. We are looking forward to your visit!
The Feuerwehrmagazin is currently working on a series with three parts specifically on drones in firefighting operations. In the second part of the series, which has just been published, there is an overview of the systems available on the market, but the article itself also talks about cabled flight. For this, Feuerwehrmagazin spoke with our CEO Daniel Stahlmann.
Drones are now an asset in many different fields of application, such as surveillance or documentation. They have proven particularly helpful in the control of extensive industrial sites. Drones make it possible to keep an eye on such areas precisely and accurately, yet at low cost. IAV GmbH will be presenting a corresponding system in a livestream at the Hannover Messe on April 15, 2020.
In edition 02/2021 of the Feuerwehr Fachjournal we have published a second article on tethered drones. This second part deals with the technical background of tethering.
The low-pressure area Tristan has brought considerable amounts of snow and sub-zero temperatures to the north of Germany. We used this situation for some test series with the TGS Avior to check the functionality even in low temperatures.
DROHNENMAGAZIN has written a report on the stationary use of drones. Under the title "On the Leash - TETHER Drones", editor Frank Potthast has summarized interviews with Daniel Stahlmann as well as Jochen Anglett and Peter Henning (both vectorbirds airborne systems GmbH & Co. KG).
We have published an article in the Feuerwehr Fachjournal on wired drones and how they can be used in operations by emergency services. The issue will be published in specialized stores on December 17, 2021.
Meet us at this year's germanys industry-only trade fair for firefighting, civil defense and disaster control from October 08 to 10 at Messe Dresden.
