Radio and communication applications
Temporary radio masts also traditionally consist of steel structures weighing several tons, whose transport and commissioning require extensive logistics. Drones can carry antennas from transmission masts, repeaters to increase range, or receiving antennas without much effort, while remaining manageable enough to fit into a station wagon.
Increase range
A golden rule for higher ranges of radio applications is the height of antennas. Tethered drones allow antennas to be installed at greater heights with little effort and operated optimally via the network connection.
Mobile and lightweight
Wired drones can easily carry one or more antennas to realize mobile radio applications. If necessary, areas with insufficient radio coverage can be temporarily supplied with additional radio cells. This may be particularly necessary in urban areas between tall buildings, at industrial facilities or in rural areas.
